Mukilteo Homes for Sale
A Top U.S. City
Mukilteo is a waterfront city in Snohomish County and on the shore of the Puget Sound. Mukilteo translates to the phrase “good camping ground” and lives up to its name with its beautiful state parks and many RV parks, including Harbour Pointe RV Park, which earned an A+ grade from Yellow Pages. You won’t have to share these campsites with too many people because Mukilteo’s population is a mere 20,000. When you see this city’s incredible beachfront view, explore its fun and educational museums, and taste the exquisite cuisine Mukilteo has to offer, you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of living here sooner.
Mukilteo has many fun places to visit for both tourists and locals. One of the many attractions is the Historic Flight Foundation, a museum dedicated to notable air vehicles from the late 1920’s to the end of the 1950’s. Perhaps after a fun day of learning, you can take a trip to the Mukilteo Chocolate Company for some gourmet, hand-crafted chocolates. At the end of the day, take a trip down to Whidbey Island and watch the sunset.
Mulkiteo is a small city with a lot of accolades. Among these titles are the ninth spot in Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live List, an A grade in the amenities category from Areavibes.com, and Safewise.com listed Mulkiteo as one of the safest cities in Washington.
Family Life in Mukilteo
Watch Your Family Grow in Mukilteo
Mukilteo is a safe place for children and has great schools for them too. Greatschools.org gave this Washington city’s schools a nine out of ten, and some earned all ten points. The top rated schools were Mukilteo Elementary school and Kamiak High School.
Mukilteo Elementary scored a solid eighty-three percent when tested in math and English, over twenty-five percent more than the state average. When tested in science, they scored an astonishing eighty-nine percent, which was twenty-two percent above the state’s average.
Greatschools.org also gave Kamiak High a perfect ten. It is the most expensive high school in the United States, the cost of building it came to over sixty million dollars. Based on the student body’s ninety-two percent average in biology, the sixty million was worth it. Of course, Mukilteo also has things for kids to do on the weekends.
The city of Mukilteo accomodates every member of the family, even the furry ones. The Trails and Tails Dog Park is a large gated park where all your children––especially the furry ones––can run around, get some fresh air, and make some new friends. Maybe after that, you can visit the Harbour Pointe Golf Course where you and the family can engage in some friendly competition.
Other Mukilteo Activites and Entertainment
Fun For The Whole Family
Of course, Mukilteo has fun just for the adults too, and Diamond Knot Production Brewery & Taproom is proof of that. You can take your kids here when they grow up for a few craft beers! If beer isn’t your beverage of choice, then try Red Cork Bistro and Catering for wine, cocktails, and a good meal. You could also take them to wineries in nearby cities, or stay Mukilteo for some other entertainment.
Another fun way to spend the day is with Get Hooked NW. Get Hooked is a fishing company that offers guided services where guests can fish for various kinds of salmon. They offer trips via jet sleds and drift boats and go to several locations including the Columbia, Humptulips, Wynoochee, Cowlitz, and the Skykomish River. Fishing may be fun, but Mukilteo provides more fast-paced activities as well.
Have a need for speed? Then take a trip to Traxx Racing where everyone can have a good time racing each other in go-karts. They have a track for kids ten and under and an adult course for anyone fourteen or older. Also, you can plan your next party here, whether it’s for your child’s birthday, or just for fun.
