Washington Wine Country
Woodinville, Washington is a Seattle Metropolitan city that is home to just over 11,000 people. If you like small towns, this is the place for you. This King County city has loads of entertainment for both tourists and locals.
It’s no coincidence that Woodinville and wine begin and end with the same letters. Woodinville has nearly one hundred wineries that allow you to taste delicious locally made wines. A notable winery is the Adam’s Bench Winery, which is known for its fabulous Cabernets and lovely view of the Olympic Mountains. Another winery mentioned on Woodinvillewinecountry.com is Adrice Wines. Their wines are aged for at least one year, and when you join their Wine Club, you’ll get to try drinks that are not available to the public.
In Woodinville, you can enjoy local wines and regionally grown foods. The Woodinville Farmer’s Market features fresh produce and baked goods from nearby vendors. 21 Acres, a sustainable living center, also offers home-grown foods, along with cooking and farming classes for children.
Woodinville has won awards from Seattle Magazine for its wine, and it’s also earned high rankings from other sources. Areavibes.com gave this Washington city A’s in amenities and housing. Woodinville Family Life
Something for every family
Safewise.com says that Woodinville is a great place for families, and Greatschools.org agrees. Greatschools.org gave Woodinville’s schools a nine out of ten, but some schools earned all ten points. Among these schools are Bear Creek Elementary, Wellington Elementary, and Woodinville High. Each was scored based on the results of a standardized test.
Bear Creek and Wellington Elementary’s test scores in science, math, and English were in the A and B range, while the state average was in the D and F range. Woodinville High scored twenty percent over the state average for biology and math. These schools will allow your kids to have a great week, but the rest of Woodinville will give everyone a good weekend.
You probably want the children to get some fresh air after being in the classroom all week, which is why Woodinville has parks and nature trails, like the Paradise Valley Conservation Area. Paradise Valley is a five-mile biking and walking trail with beautiful flowers, foliage, and rivers. You can bring your dogs too.
Paradise Valley isn’t the only place for a nature walk; you can also go to the Cottage Lake Park. There are plenty of walking trails here, along with a lake where you and the family can go fishing and boating. Cottage Lake also has their annual “Music in the Park” concert which is open to the public and free of charge.

Dirty Bucket has many unique handcrafted brews like their seasonal Dirty Jack Pumpkin Ale and Hefen’ Pineapple, and when you join their Mug Club, you’ll get your first glass free and have access to members-only parties.
